I got a MX400 which is the Lanner FX-8865. Meraki removed the console and vga external ports. I should be able to use a vga and serial cable off the mb and move forward, right? I think I have to remove the CF file and possible replace the hdd as you did? Anyway thanks for the video!

I'm really interested in the VLAN configuration options you mentioned, as well as the loopback prevention feature. Since this is a layer 2 switch, I read that it is not as secure as a layer 3 switch and is vulnerable to security threats such as ARP spoofing attacks. I would not use this switch on my network but instead use an older CISCO router that has dedicated layer 3 swtich even if it takes up more space. What is your opinion on this?

A couple things I tripped up on: - the wifi bit that sticks out at the front and is on the hard drive caddy has to be correctly seated within the metal, there are two tiny black bits at the bottom of that thing -the caddy has to be inside the two guides at the front and the one guide on the rear

Be careful with TP-Link switches and access points. Some models don't handle VLANs properly. BTW, I also have one of those Cisco switches here.

This is great use. Additionally is it possible to isolate the ports to different vlans. I plan to migrate to a multiport pfsense and get rid of my managed switch. That way one port will be trunk and other be vlan2, vlan3 etc. How can that be configured?
